ISRO Recruitment 2024 : The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited online applications for various posts, including Technical Assistant, Technician – B, Heavy Vehicle Driver, Light Vehicle Driver, and Cook, to fill 30 vacancies at the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) Units located at Valiamala, Nedumangad, Kerala and Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Post-wise vacancy details of ISRO Recruitment 2024 at LPSC Unit
ISRO’s LPSC (The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre) Unit, Valiamala near Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram has announced 31 vacancies across various roles, including Technical Assistant, Technician, Driver, and others. Age Limit For ISRO Recruitment 2024 at LPSC Unit
- Minimum Age limit is 18 years for all posts.
- Maximum Age limit (as on 10.09.2024) is 35 years, but relaxable by 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for posts reserved for them.
- Candidates coming under other categories viz. Ex-servicemen, Persons With Benchmark Disabilities, Departmental candidates, Meritorious sportspersons, etc. are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders issued on the subject from time to time.

Application fee for ISRO LPSC recruitment 2024
For Technical Assistant (both Mechanical & Electrical)
All applicants are required to pay a uniform application fee of ₹750/- initially while filling online application. However, the candidates from fee-exempted categories (Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen) will receive a full refund. For other candidates, ₹500/- will be refunded, with ₹250/- being retained as the application fee.
So, for fee-exempted categories, the actual fee is ₹0, and for other candidates, the actual fee is ₹250/- while filling up online application for the post of Technical Assistant at ISRO’s LPSC Recruitment 2024.
For Technician ‘B’ (All Trades) and Cook
All applicants are required to pay application fee of ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) initially while filling up the online form. However, candidates from fee-exempted categories (Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen) will receive a full refund. For other candidates, ₹400/- will be refunded, with ₹100/- retained as the application fee.
So, for fee-exempted categories, the actual fee is ₹0, and for other candidates, the actual fee is ₹100/- only while filling up online application for the post of Technician ‘B’ and Cook at ISRO’s LPSC Recruitment 2024.

Selection Process in ISRO Recruitment 2024 for LPSC Unit
The Selection Process in ISRO Recruitment 2024 for various posts in LPSC Unit consists of
- Written test &
- Skill test.
1. Written Test for Technical Assistant (both Mechanical & Electrical) and Technician ‘B’ (All Trades)
The written test for the post of Technical Assistants and Technicians “B” include 80 multiple-choice questions with duration of 90 minutes. One mark each is given for every correct answer while a penalty of 0.33 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The test will cover the curriculum of specified subjects according to the posts and will be designed to assess both the breadth and depth of the candidate’s theoretical and practical knowledge.
Skill Tests for Technical Assistant (both Mechanical & Electrical) and Technician ‘B’ (All Trades)
Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test based on their performance in the written exam, with a ratio of 1:5 and a minimum of 10 candidates. The skill test will be conducted on a ‘go-no-go’ basis, and the marks obtained in this test will not be factored into the final selection.
2. Written Test for the post of Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ & Light Vehicle Driver ‘A
The written test, lasting 120 minutes, will consist of 100 objective-type questions, with each correct answer earning one mark. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
The syllabus for the written exam for the post of Heavy vehicle driver & light vehicle driver at ISRO Recruitment 2024 is as under:
Part – A (Objective type questions based on Motor Vehicles Act 1988, as amended from time to time)- 50 marks
Part – B (English – Elementary English of 8th standard level)- 15 marks
Part – C (Arithmetic – Elementary Arithmetic of 10th Standard level)- 15 marks
Part – D (General Knowledge)- 20 marks
Those who secure a minimum of 50% marks in Part-A and minimum of 50% marks in Part-B, Part-C and Part-D combined in the written test will be eligible for consideration for short listing for skill test.
Skill Test for the post of Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’ & Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’
Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for skill test in the ratio of 1:5 with a minimum of 10 candidates. The skill test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection. The skill test shall be evaluated on a 100 points scale with minimum 60 % score for qualification.
3. Written Test for the post of Cook.
The written test, lasting 120 minutes, will have 80 multiple-choice questions, each worth one mark for a correct answer. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. This test is designed to assess the candidate’s theoretical and practical knowledge in cooking, kitchen equipment, General Knowledge, General English, and Arithmetic (at the SSLC/Matriculation level).
Skill Test for the post of Cook.
Based on the written test scores, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test at a ratio of 1:5, with at least 10 candidates. The skill test is a pass/fail test, meaning the marks from the skill test will not affect the final selection. To pass the skill test, candidates must score at least 60% on a scale of 100 points.
